  1. Am into hiking and trails but you’ve been to many gorgeous and amazing trails! Doe sit means you can hike even without permits? That would be cool.

    1. Most places don’t require permits for visitors to hike. Certain places are really strict about the permits. You just have to find out before you go to your destination.

  3. Awesome post! We love love hiking and now that the kids are getting older, it is great to get out for longer hikes. We are moving back to Canada this year and are very keen to explore more of the US National Parks, so this is perfect.

    1. It takes time and every kid is different. We started hiking at National Parks after our son turned 7. We did state parks prior to that and fortunately he didn’t complain.

  4. Hiking is a sport and hobby that I have never considered. Anyway, it offers the possibility to see places from a different perspectives.

  5. Angel’s Landing is such a popular hike! I have heard and seen photos from close friends but I don’t think I’m brave enough to do it myself! The landscape at Bryce Canyon National Park is so unique. I would definitely love to see it someday!

    1. I have the same feeling towards Angel’s Landing. I think my thighs won’t stop trembling when I hike there.

  6. Your post makes me want to explore even more US National Parks! There are so many amazing places. I think the Death Valley hike specifically looks really amazing and is definitely unexpected.

    1. Isn’t it? We like to play “if only we live in Colorado, Utah, or Arizona”. Those states have the most National Parks and every weekend (well, at least once a month), we would explore the parks.

    1. You are right! Just by concentrating to do the hike at National Parks, you will have planned vacation for years ahead.

  7. this is such a great list! I’ve been to quite a few national parks but have only done a couple of the hikes you’ve listed here. Definitely hoping to add a few of them soon, they look amazing!

    1. Us, too! We haven’t been to the ones in California. I really want to do Joshua Tree and Death Valley.

  8. Wow all of these look like incredible hikes. I haven’t been to the US for several years and haven’t hiked there at all so I have a lot to do! I think Glacier National Park in Montana will be top of my list, as I love hiking with views of the mountains. I’m not sure I could handle that drop at Angel’s Landing though, that is too much for me!

  9. Ok I must go to the glacier park in Montana ASAP. I figured the glaciers were pretty much gone. Also, I need to make my way to Cumberland Park as I live in georgia.

  11. I’m a complete hiking virgin, and know nothing about the US national parks, so I enjoyed reading this post. Out of the hikes here, I’d most like to try the one in Hawaii. Mainly because it seems tame compared to many on the list, and also because I’d love to see the landscape plus the waterfalls, flora and fauna along the way.

  12. Hiking is so much fun. Away from the chaos of city life and technology, it helps one connect with themselves and nature. All the trails you have listed look wonderful but my top picks are the trails in Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. Would love to do those.

    1. Yeah, I like hiking. I felt comfort and peace whenever I did a hike. It’s just me and nature. Nothing’s else. I hope one day you will be able to do the hikes in Bryce Canyon and Zion NP.

  13. I love hiking – especially in National Parks. There’s nothing better than nature, fresh air and a stunning view! Death Valley is already on my list, but the Glacier National Park looks also very beautiful. Thanks for sharing!!

  14. This is such a great list! Since I travel to Utah a lot, I’ll most likely be able to tackle one of those hikes before some of the others. That said, I’m most intrigued by the Cumberland Island National Park hike. It seems really off the beaten path and truly unique!

    1. It is! There are National Parks and parks under NP that are off the beaten path. We just have to open our eyes more and write about it once we experience them. So more people will know about them.
