  1. You always find such interesting small towns, Umiko! I’m surprised having grown up in the Midwest that I’ve never heard of Casey before. The windchime looks especially interesting! I also love your photos with the snow!

    1. I think one of the advantages of road tripping is to find unique things in small towns by looking at thousands of billboards on the highway. Haha..

  2. So cool to have so many huge things in such a small area! The key and mailbox are great but I bet my kids would prefer the antlers and rocking chair!

    1. A smart way to attract tourists to your small town. My husband and son also like the antler while I like the mailbox and the birdcage.

  3. This is such a fun area to stop by on a road trip. Not only is if fun for kids but for adults too! I don’t know why, but I really like the mail box 🙂 Too bad snoopy couldn’t go inside it tho!

  4. I kept thinking…I think Umiko must have messed up cause I have no idea what is the World’s Largest in Casey, Illinois! That is until I found out that Casey, Illinois is the World’s Largest EVERYTHING! haha. But seriously, how fun is this place. I love it when a small town or city develops a quirky yet fun personality! Hands down Jim Bolin must have had the World’s Largest Personality!

    1. Haha… we’re with you. This Mr. Jim Bolin really knows how to attract tourists to come to their town.

  5. We visited this past summer on a road trip. I had heard about Casey from an Instagram post and looked it up and saw it was right off the highway we would be driving. While we only stopped for 15 minutes, the whole family had fun laughing at the World’s Largest items. Our favorites were the rocking chair and mailbox.

  6. I didn’t that Illinois has a handful of larges things. It’s really amazing!Well the largest rocking chair it would look better though if the snowman isn’t there underneath. It’s kinda ruining the view for me..

  7. First I wondered what ‘world’s largest’ but then I realized there are too many things. I like this trip where ‘Mommy wanted to see The World’s Largest Rocking Chair.’ Giant Antler looks too cute. I would love to visit a quirky place like this.

  8. I have an almost teenager too and I can see her not getting excited about this at first either 😄 What an interesting place, though. The perfect kind of place for a day trip.

  9. Ha! At first, I thought your title was missing something, lol! But obviously, there is a LOT of world’s largest right there. So interesting. My husband would totally love the golf tee, but I think that the mailbox is pretty cool. What a fun place to go!

    1. I like the Mailbox, too. It’s cool that visitors can climb inside it. If only we can climb the Rocking Chair, too. It would be fun.

  10. That place looks to cool, I would love to visit. I love to visit quirky little places and I can’t believe how many things there are to see there. I want to see it all, but I especially want to see the Rocking Horse, Rocking chair and the key.

    1. I couldn’t believe my eyes, too. My town is bigger but we are nothing compare to Casey. Jim Bolin is really smart.

  11. A giant rocking chair, wind chime, antlers, yard stick, car key, golf tee, etc are hilarious. Roadside attractions are so much fun. It’s really interesting to see what attraction cities decide to offer. OMG, your boys sound like ours did at that age. We haven’t done many road trips but one that featured roadside attractions would be fun for all ages.

  12. The small place has some of the biggest art pieces which makes it attractive to the outside. This is a good activity for the families with kids as well. Not only adults but also kids can have fun with those arts.

  13. It is a pity that I did not read this article a few weeks ago when we passed through Illinois during our road trip. I haven’t heard of Casey before. Now I know I’ll be back there for sure. Pictures with large objects have an interesting perspective. And because we love photography, I would like to take a picture of this big key, chair and above all the fork. They look great.

  14. What a fascinating place based on this idea of creating a collection of the world’s largest things! Love the eccentricity of this. I think the rocking chair, antlers and wind chimes would be my to three!

  15. Casey definitely looks like a great spot on a road trip through Illinois. We would definitely want to take pics with as many of the “Worlds Largest …” as we could. The rocking chair is a great draw. Too bad you can’t actually sit on it. I loved the variety in the things they have selected to have in such big sizes.

    1. Isn’t it crazy? And I agree, they chose the things carefully that people will like and still represent the town’s character.

  16. Ok, if I am driving by this area, I want to check it out. I have only done two places similar to this, Moose Jaw in Canada which has the world’s largest moose and Medicine Hat in Canada which has the world’s largest First Nations tent. I love the mailbox and I can’t believe it is fully functional! This town is crazy, a tourist magnet but it has to be checked out 🙂
