While guacamole is arguably the most popular way to eat avocado in the U.S., in Indonesia we like to have it as Jus Alpukat (avocado juice, literally translate). Though when you see the juice, it looks more like a shake or smoothie. Here’s the easiest way to make it.
What you need: (1 serving)
1 small ripe and soft avocado
Sweetened condensed milk
How to make it:
1. Slice avocado in half.
2. Discharge the seed, squished the meat to the blender.
3. Add 2-3 ice cubes (better if using crushed ice).
4. Blend with a little water to help the blending process.
5. Pour it to a glass (about 1 cup).
7. Enjoy it!
Some people like to add granulated sugar when they blend it but I don’t think it’s necessary. There are people who like to use chocolate sweetened condensed milk but I haven’t found one around my area. I found fat-free sweetened condensed milk instead and used it for my smoothie, err… juice.
You can add more water to make it to juice consistency, but then you have to add more milk to keep it sweet.
Other way to make it, just use potato smasher or a fork and smash it to your preferred texture. Add crushed ice, a bit water, and sweetened condensed milk, then stir and enjoy.
