MY FAMILY AND I WERE SPECIAL GUESTS AT LONGHORN CAVERN STATE PARK BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE OUR OWN. Every time I saw pictures of Longhorn Cavern, I felt like I would be walking on the underground river with imaginary water surrounding me when I go there. The cave looks beautifully sculpted, as if flowing smoothly to the mysterious end.

After 6 months of waiting, we finally did the island hopping in Flores, Indonesia. We went there last June and rent a pinisi – a traditional Indonesian sailing boat – for 3 days and 2 nights, together with my sister’s family and her friend’s family. There were total of 11 people in the group plus our tour operator. It was the first time for all of us and we were so excited.

Bali. The island of thousands Hindu offerings. That’s what my son said every time he stood in front of our fridge, looking at Bali’s magnet we bought from our trip there back in June. He’d been to Bali twice before this trip, but they were when he was 9-month-old and 3-years-old. Now that he’s 10, he remembers it clearly, the small square offering found practically in front of every businesses, offices, houses, and hotels. Pretty much at every corner wherever we went. It’s not only one, sometimes it’s even 3 pieces in one place.

What a 10-year-old boy said about long haul flight

Our family just back from Indonesia about 2 weeks ago. We flew from Dallas to Tokyo, Japan for 13 hours. After 1 hour and 45 minutes layover, we continued to Jakarta, Indonesia for another 7 hours and 50 minutes. The route back from Jakarta to Dallas was the same. It was just a bit faster. 10 minutes faster from Jakarta to Tokyo, and 1 hour 15 minutes faster from Tokyo to Dallas with 3 hours and 15 minutes layover in Japan. Long, right?
